• Since its beginning in 2006, the Early Detection Program has worked with more than 3,500 children, approximately 100 local agencies and 10 other NGOs. We have diagnosed 105 children with hearing loss and 15 with profound deafness.
• In the last year we have traveled to more than 50 Oaxacan communities to provide Early Detection Program services.
• Our clinic has provided attention to over 10,000 patients through diagnosis, applied audiology (such as tympanometries and audiometries) and technical support from a hearing-prosthesis technician to patients using hearing aids.
• During the last 10 years we have provided medical services to children, teenagers and adults that come from approximately 120 different municipalities, of the 520 municipalities that exist in Oaxaca.
• We have donated about 1,500 hearing aids to children and adults in need.
• We have trained staff from Oaxaca`s state health sector.
• We have provided attention to people sent by public or private clinical institutions, such as DIF, CRIT, Children`s Hospital and Civil Hospital, among others.
• Our social work has included the socio-economic evaluation of more than 2,700 patients as well as over 300 home visits in the last three years.
• Our Therapy School has rehabilitated 60 children and assisted 30 parents through the CORAL Support Plan..
• We have preformed thousands of OtoAcustic Emissions (OAE) tests in marginalized neighborhoods and rural communities located close to the city of Oaxaca.
• We have provided education to approximately 100 parents, helping them to be closely involved with their children`s learning processes.
