Early Detection Program
The Early Detection Program was created with the aim of being an accessible diagnosis and detection service for hearing loss for those people who live in rural and/or marginalized communities. It takes place three times per week and it is done by a psychologist who carries out visits to day-care centers, NGOs that work with children, and rural indigenous communities close to Oaxaca city defined by the Ministry of Health and INEGI (National Institute for Statistics, Geography and Information) as preponderant in hearing loss.

A protocol is followed and portable equipment that offers results in minutes is used. It allows us to detect hearing loss, and the child is sent to the Clinic with the diagnosis of “suspicion of hearing loss” in order that other examinations may confirm the diagnosis. This is considered the first fundamental step because making an early detection allows the child and his/her parents to understand the situation and assess their options.

20 years of taking sounds, music, words and whispers to oaxaqueños ears.
