In 1999, CORAL obtained its status as a civil association and as an authorized donor, officially accrediting it as a non-governmental organization managing its economic resources in Mexico.
In 2001, CORAL and 27 other schools from around the world received economic support from the Oberkotter Foundation to encourage and support their work. In 2003, it was formally established that the CORAL clinic would operate under the supervision of a recognized local audiologist. Also, the early detection program started in rural communities and marginalized neighborhoods near Oaxaca City. In the same year, CORAL started a program for medical and therapeutic exchange with doctors and specialists coming from various institutions such as the Children´s Therapy Network of New York, among others.
In 2008, CORAL started collaborating with the Hospital Town Clinic Anna Seethaler A.C., where the actual medical, technical and social work attention is provided.
With the support of the friar Scott Seethaler, CORAL was also able to acquire its own facilities located in the Colonia Margarita Maza de Juarez.
Today, the CORAL school has been described as the most advanced oral-education program in Mexico. CORAL is an international affiliate of the Alexander Graham Bell Association, which serves to promote the use of auditory learning and spoken language by children and adults who are hard of hearing.
