San Francisco photographer donates photo shoot of CORAL twins, and The Isabel Allende Foundation makes a charitable donation
Serendipity showed its face, when Lori Barra knocked on CORALīs door. Lori, a graphic designer and photographer from the Bay Area, was in Oaxaca taking a workshop by highly regarded American photographer, Mary Ellen Mark, when one day she was looking for some good subject matter for one of her assignments.
A mutual contact sent her our way, where she promptly set to work taking photos in our Therapy Program. Lori and Lorena, the mother of Aylin and Andrea, twin girls that attend CORAL, spontaneously agreed for Lori to visit their home to do a photo shoot. Each print in the thick stack of photos that Lori gave to the family the following day portrays the equal delight of the subjects and photographer in this activity. Lori also donated us a USB drive containing all of the photos for CORAL to use. See a selection of these darling photos here.
Not only is Lori a talented photographer but she is also the Executive Director of the Isabel Allende Foundation. CORAL is now very pleased to be one of its beneficiaries, having recently received a generous financial donation from the Foundation. Thank you, Lori, and we hope to see you in Oaxaca again soon! CORAL also sends special thanks Daniel Robles for matching us up. |
